Coffee has been processed and roasted the same way since the Wright Brothers made their first powered flight in 1903...but now that's about to change.
After five years of research and development of our jet roasting process, Aviator's Coffee Company is now proud to introduce our new and revolutionary way of roasting coffee to the world. The Stockdale family (three generations of pilots) has combined their love of aviation and coffee into the Aviators branded theme.
Company CEO Chuck Stockdale comments, "We looked at the way coffee was roasted, packaged, distributed and marketed and then we threw the rule book out of the cockpit. We like power and thrust but we don't like exhaust gasses in our coffee."
Utilizing scientific principles of propulsion, aerodynamics, and thermodynamics, Aviator's Coffee has created a dramatically new and better way to roast coffee. Coffee beans are suspended on hundreds of hot air jets. as they rotate inside the Aviators turbojet roasting engine.
The roaster is basically a jet engine placed vertically in a mounting assembly.. A turbine diffuser rotates at 20,000 RPMs to evenly distribute heat through the coffee beans. Air jets completely separate chaff from the beans resulting in a super clean roast.
In the process of updating coffee processing to the 21st Century, Aviator's has rendered old-school drum roasting obselete. Our unique electric air jet-roasting process produces coffee that delivers a thrilling sensual experience.
We know that oxygen is the enemy of fresh coffee. Aviators coffees are never exposed to oxygen. At the end of every roast, and at every stage of processing and packaging, we take extra measures to keep beans in an oxygen free environment.
Our processing pressurizes packaging and a one-way valve regulates pressure inside without letting oxygen in.. Our system ensures the freshest possible coffee.
